Sure their baby teeth will fall out…but they are very important for their development, health, ability to learn…their overall life.
Whether they are baby teeth OR permanent teeth, tooth decay left untreated will cause pain and infection that can lead to problems with eating, speaking and especially learning.
Tips for all stages of teeth:
It’s safe to see a dentist during pregnancy and make sure your teeth are healthy.
- First Teeth
When putting baby down to sleep, only put water in a bottle, never milk, juice or soda. Prior to teeth, wash baby’s gums with a damp cool washcloth.
- Permanent Teeth
Baby teeth begin to fall out around age 6, making room for new teeth. This process takes several years. Children learn by example. Brush your teeth and floss together every day.
